Getting to King island

King Island in Bass Strait is halfway between Victoria and Tasmania. The only method of transport to the island is via air - a 50 minute flight from either direction.

Naracoopa is situated on the protected East Coast of King Island - about a 15 minute drive on quiet country roads from the airport and the main town of Currie.

Overall, King Island is a great place to take a short break because visitors can explore so much of the island in just a couple of days. Those who are looking for weekend getaway ideas might want to stop by the Currie Lighthouse or make the hike to the top of Fraser Bluff for excellent views of the region. It is also possible to take a 4WD adventure tour of the island, which ensures that you get to experience the culture and beauty that have made King Island such a popular weekend getaway destination.
There is so much to see you on this island that you might even consider staying a little longer.
